I have moved many times in my life. The first move being from Cumberland Maine to Yarmouth, Maine when I was seven years old, and could enjoy the move. It was exciting.
However, the last move from the City of Punta Gorda in Charlotte County, Florida to a community, the Villages of Cypress Creek, in Ruskin (or Sun City Center) in Hillsborough County, Florida was an unbelievable nightmare. Hillsborough County has grown so much in the last five years, no one really knows anymore where they live.
I like the area. The County has done as much as it could to provide for open spaces for recreation or for the enjoyment of nature by its citizens. Unfortunately, it's still growing and no one seems to know where it will end. Hopefully, my husband and I won't have to move again. This last move was a horror. I won't go into the details, but believe me, we did not enjoy the experience.
The good news is I am more than halfway through writing Book 4 of the Gulf of Maine Mysteries series, A Noah Drinkwater Mystery. This one is also filled with murder and crime, and with lots of love and romance thrown in. Stay in touch and keep your eyes on my publishing announcement of Book 4 on my Facebook page, Susan Davis Cummings. I hope you enjoy this new one in the series. The working title of the new book is: THEY BET ON COLD MURDER TO WIN.
Oh, by the way, did I mention, this book is about horse-racing at a fictional track in Southern Maine not far from Deanes Island? I know you will enjoy it.
